Myonerv has secured a £100,000 Innovate UK Biomedical Catalyst Accelerator grant to run a 10-patient formative usability study, working in partnership with Health Innovation East. The funding is part of the UK Government’s pledge to go from Analogue to Digital, bringing Hospital care into the Community – as part of the NHS 10 Year Plan.
The study, titled: “A 10 Patient Trial To Bring Hospital Grade Neurorehabilitation At Home”, brings Myonerv’s wearable technology into the hands of stroke and acquired brain injury patients for the first time in a controlled setting. The trial brings together clinicians from across the country to aid with the design and implementation of the device.
The grant builds on Myonerv’s broader clinical study programme, and reflects continued confidence from Innovate UK in the company’s approach to making advanced neurorehabilitation more accessible to patients recovering at home.
