2. What personal data we collect
The Site does not have accounts, newsletters, or tracking cookies of its own. The only personal data we collect is what you choose to give us if you use the Contact us form or otherwise email us to hear about Myonerv’s clinical developments, upcoming trials, and ways to get involved.
This typically includes:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Any other information you choose to include in your message (for example, your reason for getting in touch, or your organisation)
A note on health information: because our work involves clinical trials, some visitors may choose to share health-related information in their message (for example, mentioning a stroke or brain injury diagnosis) when asking about taking part in a trial. This is “special category data” under UK GDPR. We only receive this if you choose to include it, and we handle it in line with Section 4 below.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
3. How we collect it
We collect personal data only when you actively submit it to us — for example, by filling in the Contact form or sending us an email. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or advertising pixels on the Site.

5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:
- Our hosting and website provider (WordPress.com / Automattic, or our chosen WordPress host), which processes data on our behalf to run the Site and any built-in dashboard analytics or security features it provides
- Clinical research partners, sites, or ethics-approved study teams, but only where you have expressed interest in a specific trial and only to the extent needed to follow up with you
- Professional advisers or regulators, where required by law
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK/EEA; where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK’s International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
6. Cookies
The Site itself does not set marketing or analytics cookies. Because the Site runs on WordPress, our hosting platform may set a small number of strictly necessary technical cookies (for example, for security or performance) that are managed through our WordPress hosting dashboard rather than by us directly. We do not currently use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or chat widgets on the Site.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry and contact data for as long as needed to respond to you and, where you’ve asked to hear about our trials, for as long as you remain interested — or until you ask us to delete it. We will delete or anonymise data that is no longer needed, save where we must retain it for legal, regulatory, or clinical research record-keeping purposes.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data
- Ask us to restrict or object to our processing
- Withdraw consent at any time (this won’t affect processing before withdrawal)
- Data portability, where applicable
- Complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data
